A newest addition to the family of digital SLR cameras, the Canon EOS is a much better upgrade of its predecessors. A large LCD screen that simplifies reading menus and change setting gives the EOS 40D SLR Camera an edge over XTi, the 30D and their predecessors. The 40D is clearly more economical and has a better value for money when compared to the other cameras of the same lineage. It just takes a few moments to access settings with the Info button rather than waste time going through the menu. Canon’s increase in its optical view finder’s magnification will help you shoot much clearer and brighter images than ever before. On a personal front, I prefer the Canon EOS 40D Digital SLR Camera just for its instant focussing ability and ISO setting right on the viewfinder. The 40D, with a high-quality sensor density, takes care of even the finest details and reproduces them to perfection. When it comes to low-noise, the Canon EOS 40D Digital SLR camera is very much in tune with the 30D. There is never a chance for the images to be underexposed owing to the very fine metering of the EOS 40D Digital SLR. By incorporating 14-bit images and improving the colour transitions, the 40D SLR camera also presents an advanced colour definition.

The Canon EOS 40D Digital SLR Camera does have its downside, which is very negligible. Ergonomics states this Canon camera is a slightly larger and bulky version than other models.
