Strengths: Reasonably priced, good size at 42 inches and decent general features

Weaknesses: Does not have very hi-end features and speakers are a bit underpowered

Flat screen televisions are fast becoming a norm rather than an exception and the number of models available in the market might just boggle your mind. The LG 42PC1DV is one of the better models to refer when you are out shopping for a television. It might be unfair to compare an LG television with either a Sony or a Samsung one but on the whole, this LG television manages to offer features which are pretty good too.

The LG 42 inch television is a good buy as far as price is concerned as combined with the size which is pretty good. However, the LG 42PC1DV does not offer any major state-of-the-art features such as 180 degree viewing or built-in EDTV and you require a separate receiver for this. The speakers are good at a combined strength of 30 watts but if you are looking for high-powered speakers, then you might need to add external speakers.

The overall dimensions of LG 42PC1DV is good and will fit in a medium sized living room quite comfortably. Since it is an LG product, you can be rest assured that it is going to get good customer support and at the price that this 42 inch television commands, there is no doubt that this is a reasonable buy and one which you are not going to feel bad about at all.
