Strengths: Unique tones of cactus, lasts long and is well packaged

Weaknesses: Expensive and not suitable for evening wear

Don’t get mislead by the name of the perfume…Chris 1947 was not launched in 1947 but only recently in 2003 by the design house of Christian Dior. The perfume comes packaged in a ‘rock-star’ style of packaging in bright pink which makes it quite obvious that the perfume is meant for ladies. One of the biggest problems which I faced while trying to locate this perfume was that it was not easily available in most of the offline store.

The reason for its limited availability might be due to the fact that Chris 1947 is a very unusual perfume as it contains fragrant strains of Cactus which is a rarity in perfumes. Other than this unique tone, Chris 1947 remains pre-dominantly floral and its fresh aroma makes it very good for casual day wear. There is a slight touch of musk which helps make the perfume last quite long as well.

Chris 1947 is not cheap and one can understand why since it is a quality product from the house of Dior. If you do not mind the price tag of the perfume, you will notice that Chris 1947 can easily become a signature perfume as you can wear it through out the day specially since it has long staying power and does not change its aromatic characteristics in the course of the day.
