Strengths: Endless features; easy to handle; superb images.

Weaknesses: Pronounced noise at higher ISO settings, slow lens in aperture, no articulated LCD screen.

If the specs of the Canon G10 do not rock you, then the stunning performance which is a trademark of Canon is definitely going to. The camera has the hybrid look of a digital camera crossed with an SLR and that makes it very comfortable to hold and use. There are many features to play with and that can keep you truly busy. Optical image stabilizer is one of my favourite features specially when I see the outcome on my PC.

With the G10, one gets a promise of stunning picture quality and faster operation. To a few, it may seem a little bulky as compared to the other sleek pocket cameras available. But the features in this one are truly amazing. The people wanting DSLR functionality without the added bulk which it comes with otherwise would simply love this one.

I did feel that the LCD screen was a tad small for such as new gen camera but you tend to get used to it after some time. The ISO settings also did not do justice to the overall spec of the camera which might be a concern for those looking at shooting at high ISOs. Rest of the features are fun, the pricing is not too bad and if high megapixels excite you, then you have it made with the Canon G10.
