Full Review
The Acer AT3201W LCD TV represents the most innovative technology available for entertainment today. This television unit offers an unforgettable viewing and listening experience through easy set up and operation.
The Acer AT3201W LCD TV has a HDMI interface which provides high-definition broadcasts and splendid visual quality, not to mention two outstanding stereo speakers with SRS WOW processing that fill the room with sound, creating a cinema-like effect, and pulling the viewer right into the action on, or rather inside, the screen. This is digital standard with 1366 x 768 pixel display resolution, a broadcast format of 720p (HDTV), and a PAL SECAM built-in tuner for automatic tracking and picture and sound adjustment. The most attractive feature, however, is the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display). This visual concept is created via liquid suspended behind two transparent panels, which allow light to either pass through or become blocked as necessary. Behind the panels are a million or so luminescent bulbs that produce an image. The LCD projects those images with boldness!
Ironically, this key feature also serves as a sort of drawback as well for the Acer AT3201W LCD TV 32. LCD has some shortcomings compared to the plasma TV, which is the most popular kind of TV these days. Where LCD viewing is known for its brightness and sharpness in contrast, plasma TVs have higher definition in colour, a wider array of viewing angles, and more distinct screen movement, which is arguably a more popular and desired experience by many. Still, the contrast of the LCD produces well-defined forms that can be seen from distances and observed without even trying to watch. This kind of image just reaches out and grabs the viewer!
Regarding the design of the Acer AT3201W LCD TV, the model is flat panelled with a 32-inch screen, which means less space filled and yet a large, clear, unimpeded picture. Compactness through digital technology means quality viewing almost anywhere in the home, office, or wherever the TV is situated, and the smallness of the TV’s construction makes placement less problematic than for the traditional tube televisions. Place it anywhere—on a cluttered desk, a bookcase, the floor, a coffee table, or wherever. In the end, it doesn’t really matter, and that’s the point!
Anyone wanting to buy a Acer AT3201W LCD TV should compare prices before spending money. Regular prices run anywhere from $1,500 to $2,000, but some offers can provide deals for as low as anywhere from $750 to $900. This is why it is imperative shop around. A great viewing experience at a desirable cost will depend on it!
