The Nikon D60 Digital SLR Camera was introduced as a new-entry level model, which is the advanced version of Nikon D40x. In spite of the fact that it very much resembles the Nikon D40 or even the Nikon D40x, the Nikon D60 does incorporate many noteworthy improvements under the hood.

This digital SLR is very easy to use and comes in a compact design, but the plastic body construction does not promises durability. One of its impressive features includes its 2.5-inch LCD screen with wide viewing angle. It delivers sharp and clear images. You will like the Nikon D60 if you are a user who loves grabbing shots in the auto mode and send them straight to print. Entry-level photographers will love its features, however, experienced photographers may find its slightly over-processed photos and the available average set of manual controls disappointing.

The in-camera RAW-to-JPEG conversion is one of the camera’s innovative features. It also has an extensive range of in-camera editing option, which lets you manipulate the shots you capture. For instance, the D-Lighting feature in its retouch menu helps you correct exposure problems easily. One of its innovative and interesting features includes the Stop Motion Movie mode. It lets you create a new AVI movie using a series of JPEG files. On the whole, it renders a good performance, but not the best.
