Strengths: Reasonably priced, great battery life, extremely small and compact

Weaknesses: Cramped key board, less storage space

Netbooks are gaining popularity these days, because of their compact size and sleek design. Asus Eee PC 901 is ultra-compact netbook, which is inexpensive compared with other netbooks.

The Asus Eee PC 901 netbook is the updated version of the Eee PC 900 with newly added features like an improved touch pad, mouse buttons, quick-launch buttons and Intel's Atom CPU. The touch pad supports gesture controls making zooming in and out of images and scrolling of web pages easy. The built-in Solid State Drive (SSD) technology is another notable feature of this laptop. It reduces the power consumption, helps in fast boot up and minimizes heat generation.

Its 12 GB solid-state hard-drive space is not sufficient to store all your important documents. Just like the Eee PC 900, this netbook provides the choice of Windows XP or Linux operating systems (20GB hard-drive space). It is available in eight different colours and you can choose the one that you like the most.

The keyboard with small keys is very hard to use, but the new row of quick-launch buttons on the keyboard helps you to change the modes, launch Skype and more. If you are looking for a compact netbook at an affordable cost, then I would recommend the Asus Eee PC 901.
