Weaknesses: No Wi-Fi, not as sleek other handhelds, and has propriety software

The fact that the Palm Treo 680 features a QWERTY keyboard is quite interesting. Since QWERTY keyboards definitely have an edge over the standard mobile phone keyboards, the Palm Treo 680 manages to draw a good level of user interest even though it is a bit cramped as compared to other smart phones featuring similar input feature. The Palm Treo 680 also looks quite sleek as compared to its previous avatars.

Apart from the looks, the Palm Treo 680 has a good number of options for connectivity such as Bluetooth and a wireless modem which works pretty well in various circumstances. If you have used Palm before, you can feel a vast improvement in this model and this is a good sign. Though the Palm Treo 680 does not feature Wi-Fi, most users might not miss it too much. There is propriety software featured in the Palm Treo 680 and it is quite easy to understand and use.

The bright touch screen is one of the best features of the Palm Treo 680 and though some users might not think too highly of the Palm handhelds, I personally think it is a very well tested product which does not need a lot of hang-holding for you to get used to it. However, it does remain a lot larger than many other smart phones and it also needs to get a bit more ‘smarter’ for it to take over a large market share. The price tag however, is very competitive!
