Full Review
If you are looking for the best HD LCD TV that is available and price is no object, you will probably want to look long and hard at the Sony KDL46X2000 46 X Series HD Bravia LCD TV. With style, picture, and sound in mind, Sony has created a monster that makes us all wish our pockets were a little deeper. First of all, the Bravia X Series has full HD resolution (1920x1080) and a Wide Color Gamut backlight system for excellent quality picture visibility in the most brilliant color available. An impressive wide viewing angle of 178 degrees means that you can see a clear image from almost any vantage point in the room. Best of all, this flat screen television has all sorts of inputs, including inputs for your PC, allowing you to watch all manner of video file formats from the comfort of your living room. On top of unbelievable image, the Sony KDL46X2000 has unbelievable sound quality that will blow you away. Virtual surround sound gives you a movie theatre experience in your own home with high quality that wont leave your ears full of fuzz. The built in tuner works on any format system, including NTSC and PAL systems, as well as SECAM. You can format the aspect ration for 16:9, 14:9, or 4:3 for widescreen, letterbox, or standard viewing. The Sony Bravia LCD TV is HDTV ready and offers viewers picture-in-picture capabilities so that you dont have to miss the season finale of your favorite television show just because the Stanley Cup Series is on another channel. There are two main problems with this television. First of all, the 1080 resolution format is not yet commonplace for programming, so this is a bit ahead of its time and can be considered overkill. Also, the price on the Bravia 46 flatscreen, although worth every penny, is much too rich for the blood of the average consumer.
