There are few complaints to register in regards to the performance of the TomTom GO 910 GPS navigation system, which offers a 3D view and the ability to search for points of interest and create an entire itinerary. While there are a couple of design issues, the GO 910 is easily one of the better values on the market today.
The TomTom 910 is preloaded with extremely updated maps of the U.S., Canada, and much of Europe, and though buyers in other countries, such as Australia, will need to upload additional maps, this is quick and easy with an internet connection. Once updated, the GO GPS system will literally take you anywhere you want to go with no hassle.
If you happen to miss an instruction, take a wrong turn, or become lost simply because you aren’t paying attention, the TomTom GO 910 will quickly adjust instructions and show you the quickest way to get back on track. Bluetooth enables you to use a compatible phone to dial or pick up with just a touch of the screen, so you don’t need a separate hands-free device any longer.
The few issues that arise with users include a complaint that the screen could be larger and that the mounting is difficult. Also, many complain that the unit is simply too heavy and bulky to truly be portable, meaning it must be left in full view for any common thief to nab while you are parked. However, the unit itself is very moderately priced, sort of making up for what it lacks.
Overall the TomTom GO 910 GPS device is a great first GPS unit for those who are easily lost and want the reassurance that they can get where they need to go safely without any major hiccups. The GPRS technology is still in its early stages and may provide a few small snags along the way
