Strengths: Provides navigation pictures, has built-in camera and is a good performer

Weaknesses: Expensive, not easy to mount, and camera is underpowered

There is no doubt that the Navman N60i offers a better navigation option than the Tom Tom 910…however, there are still some issues which need to be addressed in the N60i. I will review the negatives of the product first coz they are very simple issues and not all technical in nature. For starters, the mounting bracket may not be convenient to everyone…other than that, the camera (yes! There is a camera in the phone!) is not too great when it comes to mega pixel strength.

Other than that, the Navman N60i is a good buy since its maps information is pretty well updated and it also offers an additional option of providing images of location. This feature lets users who are not accustomed to maps get a better hang of where they are going and can be considered as a really good feature. Other than this the Navman N60i is reliable and though some of the newer roads might not be featured on the device, it is just a matter of getting a software update.

However, GPS devices are not cheap and the Navman N60i is no exception. You might be able to get cheaper navigational devices which may not have all the frills of the Navman N60i but still manages to deliver the service required. Do check out the shortcut buttons which are customizable…they add just the right amount of user friendly tone to the navigation experience.
