Full Review
If you are looking for a mobile GPS device with a lot of entertainment extras, the Mitac MIO P350 GPS Mobile Navigation System will knock your socks off. However, if you want reliable connectivity and greater overall appeal for those looking at GPS systems, the Mitac lacks the capacity to pack a real punch. Let’s start with the most obvious negative aspect of the MIO P350 that keeps it from being universally appealing. The unit offers no Bluetooth capability. While the price of the unit somewhat reflects this lack of technology and is more appealing than many mobile navigation systems, the Mitac MIO doesn’t have the ability to connect everywhere, and that is a severe hindrance to many GPS users. Aside from that, the P350 GPS is a reliable, light weight unit that can be carried even by hand and not just used in a car. The unit has both Windows Mobile 5.0 software and 512MB flash memory preinstalled, as well as many maps. The sizeable memory affords you the space to upload additional maps as you see fit, as well as upscale gaming options. Enjoy all your favorite games on the go. The Mitac P350 has full PDA capability as well, though again, without Bluetooth, the use of this function is limited to Wi-Fi hotspots. Depending on where you are traveling, this might not be a problem, but if you travel frequently to areas not considered first world countries, you could run into connection trouble. Still, you can save and carry documents you may need wherever you go and access them as needed. Overall, for the price, the unit offers a lot of capabilities, with so much memory and the ability to upload so much excess data, as well as the fact that it is a simple system to use, even for novices. However, because it is limited for real techies and individuals who truly need to stay connected, the Mitac MIO P350 GPS Mobile Navigation System leaves a lot to be desired.
