Full Review
If you don’t mind paying a little more than the average washer of the same category costs, then the Bosch WAE22460AUW Washing Machine is unbeatable. You won’t find a better equipped washing machine anywhere without getting into commercial-grade machines. The Bosch front loading washer combines class and large loading capacity with a manageable size and sleekness that allows it to fit under the counter in most kitchens. Add that to the numerous options in the programming and you have yourself a front runner in the race, pulling away from the crowd. The front loading drum of the WAE22460AUW machine is rated for up the 7 kilograms (almost 15.5 pounds), giving it the capacity to wash loads for a medium sized family easily. With a spin speed of 1100 rpm, you won’t have clothes dripping all over you as you transfer them to the dryer or hang them on the clothesline, either. Four-star energy and water usage ratings also make the Bosch washing machine highly desirable. The machine runs quietly, so it is not a distraction from other tasks in the home. The Bosch washer has 11 regular programs, plus pre-wash and intensive options, with cold wash available on all settings. Choose the 15 minute express wash when you are in a hurry, or delay the start so that you can take a shower before the clothes start washing. The LED readout is large and convenient for following the progress of the load, including amount of time left, and also makes it easy to choose the programming that you want for each load. Every time a program finishes, you have the option of an audible indicator so that you don’t forget about wet clothes ever. While the washing machine by Bosch is a little pricier than others in its class, it has proven for years to be a quality machine, with the same model on the market for a long time without complaints or adjustments.

Dear Lesley - Liked your positive review. I am trying to choose between the Bosch 264740AU Maxx and an Asko 6342 ( which I am familiar with) How stable is your Bosch when spinning at high speeds? and how noisy? This is most important to me, as I have had macines in the past that 'walk' when spinning. Kind regards, Pauline Posted by: 9-Jun-2008
