Strengths: Unique Darjeeling tea tone with lemon and grapefruit….very different perfume

Weaknesses: Does not last long and is expensive

The trademark bottle from Bvlgari helps identify the perfume almost instantaneously. Extreme comes packaged in quite a timid colored bottle and it is not until you open the perfume you understand the reason for its name. Extreme does not have any woody or spicy tones which is so typical of masculine fragrances….instead it has the fresh tones of tea and a dash of lemon ( am I making it sound like a beverage rather than a perfume…I guess so!!).

The Darjeeling tea tone is both fresh as well as fragrantly mild and since it is not a common tone in perfumes, it helps set Bvlgari apart from other fragrances. One of the after-notes is quite surprising and tangy and you can feel the grapefruit towards the end of the fragrance which rounds of the perfume quite well. This unique combination is not easily available and thus Extreme is quite recommended as a men’s perfume.

The downside of mild tones in a fragrance is that it does not last all that long and thus Extreme also does not linger on all day. The tea tones tend to loose strength in some time and then the lingering tones of fruit and lemon do not feel all that great. Extreme cannot be used in the evening both since it is very soft and does not stand out all that much. If you really like the perfume then you need to refresh it during the day and that makes it an expensive perfume to use!
