Strengths: Unique fruity fragrance with an ‘interesting’ packaging

Weaknesses: Expensive!!

Though my initial impression of Code Femme was mostly inspired by the bottle, it began to change as I saw the packaging for a bit longer. The so-called stylish long bottle with the unusual tapering shape might seem interesting first, but it tends to look a bit plastic after the initial charm has worn off. I am sure that many users would differ in their opinion at this point but I found the bottle a bit too much.

The perfume on the other hand was a different story all together. There were no ‘sweet’ lingering tones as one would expect from an over-the-top perfume. Instead I was greeted by a totally fruity combination of oranges and it was good enough to perk me up! Being a fruity fragrance, Code Femme is a very long lasting perfume which lingers on most of the day. There are other subtle tones which you can experience such as jasmine, vanilla and warm honey and they tend to enhance and round off the orange blossom tones very well.

Code Femme is definitely unique and what sets it apart is its pedigree (being from the house of Armani counts as a big plus in the perfume industry). However, good perfume pedigree usually converts into a good price tag as well and you can be ready to shell out a few extra dollars to enjoy this perfume. Code Femme does not come cheap and even the fact that it manages to stay for a long time does not compensate the fact that it is an expensive buy.
