Looks good and is very easy to carry: the Finepix Z100

Strengths: Good zoom capacity, fairly good images and available in multiple colors

Weaknesses: Low memory and images are a bit noisy on higher ISOs

Compact size and an impressive zoom gives the Z100 from Fuji a recommended pocket digital camera. Very few cameras at this size offer a zoom at 5x and that too with fairly good results. The Finepix Z100 does come with a low threshold of internal memory but that is to be expected with most cameras in the compact-budget category. I am still quite impressed with the size to complain too much about the lack of built-in memory.

Other inherent problems of the camera continues to form part of the Finepix Z100 and you can see that it has a shutter speed which is very slow and results in fairly long hours of lag. The Finepix Z100 does have a decent battery life but not enough to be termed as impressive. At the end of the day, you are likely to spend substantial time in deleting useless images or downloading it to the PC every night.

Apart from being very handy in size, the Fuji Finepix Z100 is quite cool on the looks front as you get a few color choices as well. Price wise, the Finepix is a good match since it does not cost an arm and a leg like some compact Sony cameras. Recommended for holiday photography, the Fuji FinePix Z100 is a camera which is quite durable as well. However, it is unlikely to help you get any award winning photographs in the near future!
