Strengths: Good config camera with an amazing price tag and battery life
Weaknesses: The low memory capacity of the camera is quite frustrating. Lens speed ultra-slow

With a camera configuration of 8.2 megapixels, the EasyShare M853 from Kodak can easily beat some of the sub-8 megapixel cameras which feature a hefty price tag all the time. The M853 tends to look a lot less powerful than its competitors thanks to its simple design but overall it manages to deliver the goods pretty well with its easy to use controls. Even with this advantage, there are quite a few reasons why the EasyShare M853 does not make it to the bestsellers list.

One of them is the slow speeds of the lens which really end us making you miss some vibrant photographs….by the time the M853 is ready…your subject might have changed positions. Other than that, the on-board space of the camera is pathetic and you really need to keep deleting images (or adding an expensive flash card) to be able to really use the camera in the long run. Less memory space but a good battery life on the M853 is actually like a fast horse without a good jockey and quite frustrating!

The single reason which makes the Kodak EasyShare M853 a worthwhile purchase is the fact that it has a really cool price tag which makes it one of the better budget cameras around. So if you are not too fussy about the memory on the camera but looking for a good budget solution which helps you get fairly good pictures (and trust me, there are lot of people who have the same criteria) then the M853 is the perfect choice for you.
