Strengths: Very neat looking phone with classy navigation. Feature laden to the core

The ROKR E8 has been designed with pure entertainment in mind and has some really stylish navigation featured on this phone. Though unique, I must say that the touchpad reminds me a bit of the iPod and I am sure I am not the only person to say so. There are many firsts in the phone mostly relating to the navigation tools and sometimes you might forget that this is a phone and not an MP3 player! Recently launched at CES 2008, the ROKR E8 looks like it is going to be on the hotlist this Christmas.

Everything else on the phone works well, the operating system is a Linux one and you can enjoy the larger-than-average screen size as well. Though the camera is only at 2 megapixels it is fine since it does justice to the photographs taken. On the connectivity options front, the E8 is a powerhouse offering both GPRS as well as EDGE features. If all this does not impress you too much, then you will be happy to know that the phone also includes a 2GB internal memory which is phenomenal.

Should you need even more memory space than 2 GB, the E8 offers you with option of including an SD card as well! That is really taking expandability to a limit! Pricewise, the ROKR E8 can be considered reasonable when you take into account the number of features it has. The overall look of the phone is very stylish and there is no denying the fact that if you are looking for a new smart phone (but without the bulk which is common with the BlackBerry), then the ROKR E8 is your phone!
