BenQ E2200HD: New but not so great!

Strengths: 1080p capabilities

Weaknesses: Audio is not good, monitor base is cumbersome, and image quality is average

The BenQ E2200HD is an ambitious monitor launched by BenQ but I am not sure how many people would be attracted to it. There is something odd about the screen display and one can only figure that out when you have another 22 inch monitor in close proximity. Not very attractive looking, the BenQ E2200HD sports a base which allows the monitor to be placed at multiple levels but it is just not a very comfortable position.

The E2200HD does not compare very well with the Samsung Sync Master and other similar products both on the performance as well as looks front. In fact, the audio quality of the BenQ monitor is also sub standard making it not such a good option if you are going to use it for multimedia viewing. In fact, I cannot think why one would buy the BenQ monitor when there are so many good options already available with buyers. The lead that BenQ had over monitors a couple of years ago seem to have been lost with the company’s lack of innovation and technical advancement. Even with 1080p resolution, the E2200HD gets left far behind when it competes with other worthy monitors. A few extra dollars and you can get good speakers, excellent images and very easy to use monitor so why opt for the BenQ?
