Entry level b/w laser printer which is highly recommended

Strengths: Very good performance, reasonably priced and very portable

Laser printing which comes at a very reasonable price tag is the perfect description for Brother HL 2140. The printer has the standard box-like appearance which is a trademark with Brother Products and offers a good DPI for document printing. The one thing which the 2140 is not suitable for is graphic printing since it only prints black and white and does not give very high DPI of that either. The 2140 is most suited for divisions such as Accounts and Human Resources.

A good personal printer, the Brother HL 2140 has more takers due to its price tag and reasonable per page printing costs. The 2140 cannot be compared with any of the all-in-ones since it does not have any add on features. In fact, expecting the printer to be networked or to have double sided printing options is also a bit too much. I would like to recommend this printer to anyone who is looking just at laser printing documents.

Apart from a light price tag, the Brother HL 2140 is also physically quite light making it quite portable. Though it is not recommended for home use (due to the lack of colour features, scanner and fax) it works well in all document printing situations. In fact, this HL 2140 is more recommended than the HP low priced printers as it is much better in quality and does not guzzle printing ink like HP printers do.
