Strengths: Good audio and video quality combined with easy to use features

Weaknesses: GB strength still lower than the iPods, external finishing is very average

The feature list of Creative Zen leaves you with nothing to desire as it is really list a wish list of MP3 fans. What is a bit surprising though is the overall look of the media player just does not impress with its looks. A full black box with a bright display, the Creative Zen works very well and has audio quality which does not leave you with complaints but you might not like the cheap feel of the buttons which takes away some of the goodwill that the Zen creates with its audio quality.

The Zen features an impressive on-board memory with the option to enhance it with an SD Card option. However, the pricing continues to be a bit on the higher side if you are to consider just the GB capacity of other MP3 players. There is a good video option as well which works well on the large screen and somewhat hides the black box like look of the media player.

On another front, the Creative Zen manages to get all those users who do not want to use the iPod (which I understand is a fairly large number of people anyways!). personally, even though I have no complaints with the Creative Zen, it is quite likely that I would opt for the iPod purely due to the fact that the iPod has a higher level of storage and has bit of a cult following. Having said that I can safely say that the Creative Zen is a fantastic MP3 player and not one to be ignored.
