Strengths: Excellent picture quality...second to none

This is one LCD television which has users brimming with praise and why not? The Sony KDL40XBR is the Rolls Royce of Full HD television performance and comes equipped with all the bells and whistles which make it a good buy. The television has the Sony finesse written all over it and one can only begin to imagine what it would be like to have this television in an even bigger avatar! The exterior is sleek (as expected) and the design is modern and very stylish.

The picture quality stands out when comparing the KDL40XBR with same sized models of other televisions. The images are perfectly balanced and the black looks very natural as well. The extra features of the 40 inch Sony gives you ample entertainment options and many of them, like the PIP are designed for user delight. I must mention that this is one of the few televisions which comes equipped with a really good remote control that is sleek and very user friendly.

The LCD display, size and quality however, all come at a price. That is the single most factors which sets the Sony KDL40XBR apart in a positive and negative way. The price tends to make users opt for lower price brands like Samsung and on the other hand, the higher quality demands that the product be priced accordingly! With this only downside, you just cannot go wrong with the Sony Bravia and I recommend it all the people who have the budget for this really cool 40 inch television!
