Full Review
The HP 530 is a fairly new entrant in a very busy laptop marketplace and comes equipped with a configuration set which can be rated at around seven on ten. There are no surprises in the looks department of the laptop but it is definitely built like a rock and manages to work fast as long as you are using mid-sized application. The HP 530 does not cost an arm and a leg either and that makes the laptop an attractive purchase.

There are of course some issues with the laptop but the strange thing is that it does not occur in each and every machine so you might not face it with your laptop. The keyboard is not very smooth to use and it tends to get stuck sometime which is not good for someone who types a lot...a bit like me! On the other hand, the laptop screen size and display quality is good which makes it a neat addition on your work desk.

Another issue which is commonly faced with the HP 530 T2500 is that the DVD drive is quite basic and does not perform at the levels it should. The operating system with the HP530 is XP Professional (Note that it is not XP Home which is a limited version really) and that is yet another advantage when it comes to the laptop. Overall, I would stick to my original rating of seven on ten and probably give it one more point for good performance over a period of time even though the screen tends to age a lot faster than the laptop!
