Strengths: Good looking, reasonably priced laptop, suitable for students

Weaknesses: No CD player, limited security features

The Acer Aspire One N270 is designed to be the perfect laptop for anyone who is looking for a reasonably priced machine, good configuration, good looking and tough (well I think that takes care of pretty much everyone!). The laptop tends to look a lot less bulky when it comes equipped with a white exterior giving it an expensive look and the configuration gives you a fast processor which does not let you down during critical work hours.

The Aspire One N270 sports a reasonable price tag and that is what makes it a favourite with many budget-conscience buyers. I personally liked the fact that the laptop is light and that makes it quite portable. If you are looking for a laptop with a bit more features like CD player (yeah, the N270 does not have that!) and security features, then you can check out the higher models from Acer but with this one, you can be assured that you will get high quality computing while on the move.

Though Acer does not share the same brand awareness as IBM, HP and Sony, it still manages to give fairly good laptops which are quite popular with the student community. What I did not like about the laptop was the fact that you need to install Ubuntu operating system for the system to run full throttle and without that, it feels like you are running on half steam. Other that these inherent shortcomings with the Acer Aspire One N270, there is no reason not to buy the white knight of a laptop!
