If you thought that Nokia would find it difficult to match the success of the D80 with another camera then you just have to check out the D90. Do not go by the numbering of the camera....the D90 is miles ahead of the D80 and I think it could have easily been named as the D200 considering the technical spec which it has. With 12.3 mega pixel and a zoom which is just so good, there is no need to think twice when considering the D90 as a worthwhile purchase.

Like all digital SLR cameras, the D90 is large in size and needs to be handled with care. The image quality leaves nothing to be desired and I really don’t care if some professional photographer does not like the RAW format of the files generated by the D90...I am in love with this camera and would not trade it for anything (except for a better model maybe!). In fact, some of the standard problems such as the red eye, video mode and large display are all taken care of in the D90, making it a rugged camera as well.

The niggling issues with the D90 are not many and most of them can be resolved with a bit of practice. Some of the other things which can appreciate in the D90 include a battery life which is excellent, low tolerance to dust, amazing flash features and a hoard of simple user-friendly tools which makes you understand why Nikon is a leader in this field. As you might have already figured out, I recommend the D90 to anyone looking for a digital SLR and insist that they should not take another look at the price tag since this camera is fantastically worth every penny you spend on it!
