Strengths: Very sophisticated packaging, simple eternally popular tones

Weaknesses: Smells slightly synthetic

Unlike other Chanel greats, Chance is a fragrance which has just got launched very recently and it comes equipped with all the Chanel sophistication that you could look for. Starting from a richly designed bottle which is destined to be mentioned in the annals of perfume history, the Chanel Chance also promises to use age-old perfume tones to entice users. However, all these turn out to be tall promises as Chance falls a wee bit short on them.

So what really goes wrong? The age old problem of a perfume smelling unrealistic is what plagues Chanel Chance and instead of wafting tones of natural fragrance you keep getting assailed by something just not right....which is actually a synthetic tone making its way into your nostrils. The Chanel Chance had all the makings of a new-age perfume ready to grip perfume lovers always hungry for a new fragrance but this one misses the boat by a small margin.

Chanel Chance however, is unlikely to disappear from the shelves anytime soon....it has the Chanel Brand name to boot and the marketing mechanism behind the perfume is not going to let it fade in the background any time soon. Chance does create a good combination of some of the most loved perfume tones ... it’s just that it goes a bit overboard in its attempt to make the perfume stay longer and that undoes all the good that Chanel wanted to do with Chance!
