Dior Addict 2 is not addictive

Strengths: Very good attempt to make a Dior Addict version for the younger gen

Weaknesses: Does not come close to the original

Sequels rarely work (except for the likes of Superman may be) and the Dior Addict 2 is a victim of the sequel story where the original is rated much higher than the second version. Dior Addict 2 is not a bad perfume per se, but when you always have the original to compare with, it becomes difficult for the average perfumes to make the cut. Simply put, Dior Addict 2 is a good try by Christian Dior to appeal to another age group all together but it does not impress the living daylights out of you.

The only colour you can think of when sniffing at Dior Addict 2 is pink and that is a predominant feeling while wearing the perfume (definitely beats feeling blue!) The bottle is youthful and light and though the perfume is perfect as a gift to a teenager, it would not pass master with someone who is very versant with the Christian Dior fragrances.

In its attempt to appeal to a wide range of age groups, Dior Addict 2 has got a bit lost in translation. The perfume continues to be simple in approach but has big shoes to fill in when it comes to the original Dior Addict (I might be repeating myself but this is really true) and that is where it comes undone. Go ahead with the perfume as a gift for someone but buying it for yourself (specially after having read the review might not be highly recommended.
