Polo Explorer does not leave a mark

Strengths: Nice branding and packaging

Weaknesses: Fragrance is very off and uninspired

All right...so the Polo Explorer is a product from the house of Ralph Lauren and according to some, they can do no wrong. However, on the onset, I would like to warn you not to set your expectation high with the Explorer as it does nothing for those of us who are veterans when it comes to fragrances. Don’t get me wrong...there is nothing wrong with the packaging or the branding of the perfume...all that is spot on. What does not work is the fact that the perfume smells not-so-real.

With so many perfumes dotting the market, it is not surprising that Polo Explorer is simply yet another manly perfume set out to cash on to the previous success of Polo fragrances. Not only does Polo Explorer not live up to expectations, it does poorly when it comes to the basic issues with a perfume mainly the smell which is ‘off’ and not something that I would like to use even if I got it as a gift, let alone buy it.

Once in a while, a well established company can also make a mistake when it comes to products and it seems like this is Ralph Lauren’s mistake. The Explorer just does not manage to interest buyers and the only reason it would have some Spartan sales would be thanks to the goodwill that Ralph Lauren enjoys as a fashion house. As you might have already deduced....give the Polo Explorer a miss as it is a pretty forgettable perfume which does nothing for the wearer...does not even make him feel fresh.
