If you haven’t yet got familiar with the Toshiba range of laptops…and think that there is nothing beyond IBM and Dell, then there is a time to re-calibrate your thinking. Not only does Toshiba have a laptop to cater to all requirements, the Pro A120 is created as a low cost entrant in the laptop market with pretty decent features and the ability to take in the rough with the smooth. The Pro A120 works well as a laptop which has most of the standard features and a very attractive price tag.

The keyboard is pretty good to use and though the mouse does feel a bit stiff at times, you subsequently get used to it and don’t mind it. The main benefit of the Pro A120 is that it manages to ensure that accidents do not damage the laptop. A few knocks and spills can easily be managed by the Pro A120 and this is an excellent laptop if you are going to be on the move and will not be able provide the laptop a very safe place all the time.

As mentioned earlier the Pro A120 is a basic laptop and thus expecting high-end features might actually be over-reaching a bit. There are limited ports to use in this laptop and there is no ExpressCard slot which would have helped to enhance the laptop’s capabilities later on. The 60GB hard disk is good but if you need to handle large media files, then the Pro A120 might prove to be under-powered. The battery life is also OK. The Pro A120 is recommended as a short-term solution for laptops.
