Nikon Coolpix P80 has an excellent zoom feature

Nikon has been slower in making inroads into the point and shoot digital camera market but with the Coolpix range it seems to be getting there. Though not the perfect choice when it comes to high quality images, the Coolpix P80 seems to have many issues resolved from the previous models. The enhancements has made the Coolpix P80 a stabilized camera which comes with some good semi-manual features adapted to suit a point-and-shoot camera.

There is no question about the fact that the Coolpix P80 is not the best looking cameras which you can find around and the all-black look makes it look quite bulky and old fashioned. However, the wide lens is pretty workable and one can also enjoy a sturdy feel of the camera which old-timers are likely to appreciate. There is however, a slow level of performance which you have to bear with and you might end up losing some spontaneous shots in the bargain.

You should still buy the Nikon P80 for the zoom features it has which is quite incomparable and at 18X the zoom is impressive (but still noisy at higher ISOs). On the pricing front, the Nikon Coolpix P80 is not very expensive and makes it an attractive purchase for the budget conscience buyer who is looking for good quality but does not need any professionally shot images and does not mind a slightly slow performance.
