The bitten apple is an attractive symbol to the youngsters today. So is the iPod Shuffle which manages to deliver some really good music listening experience at a very reasonable price tag. You might mistake the iPod Shuffle for an electronic access card when you see it for the first time. It is a common mistake and you are excused for doing so….it does look like one especially since it does not have any LCD display to it.

Once the identity crisis is over, the iPod Shuffle is likely to rock you with its performance. The design of the MP3 player is so simple that it is not unusual to see pre-teens walking around the mall with it. There are marked differences between the iPod Shuffle and a full version iPod but that is only to be expected. This lean version of the iPod is also integrated with the iTunes store and thus allows for easy downloads of the latest music.

You need to treat the iPod Shuffle like a baby iPod and that will help you understand the product better. The transfer speed of the Shuffle is not so good but there are very few MP3 players at this level. Another advantage is that you can use the Shuffle as a flash drive as well. Though some users might buy this MP3 player only due to the fact that it is compatible to Mac but there are many non-Mac users who are also quite happy with the iPod Shuffle. Shuffle works just fine as a no-frills MP3 player and is highly recommended to everyone.

You forgot to mention the clip! I can clip my shuffle onto anything and it stays on in the gym. The first MP3 player I'm fully happy with. Once you've experienced Apple, there is simply no way back.

Shuffle is the most popular audio player of all times. It's compact and that's a huge advantage. The issue I have with Apple products is that they don't support open source audio formats. My audio library is in .flac - I like my high quality music, so iPods are not for me.
