Strengths: Great combination of story-telling and gameplay Incredible visuals and audio experiences Impressive weapon and stealth mechanics

Weaknesses: The experience ends... Not to worry, there's always the multiplayer You will need to play the other Metal Gear games to fully appreciate the story.

The Metal Gear franchise, created by Hideo Kojima, for the Playstation, has been the darling of Sony since the beginning because, here was a game that went above and beyond any other on a much larger scale while making it feel as though you were not only playing a game, but also immersed in the story, much like a movie. Attracting millions of fans over the years, the bar has been raised by each iteration and I am glad to say that this one smashes the rest.

Set in the future, you are reprised in the role of Solid Snake, a legendary soldier who has seen his fair share of war and battle. As a result, we are confronted with an old man as our protagonist, who knows the art of stealth, combat and morals. From here the story goes on to deliver many twists, turns and revelations which will have any fan of the series in shock and awe.

I personally played this game for over 25 hours and I have never had such a good time playing a game on any console ever, until something better comes along that is. From the boss battles to the moments of fear you have trying to conceal yourself from guards who are looking for you, Metal Gear Solid 4 is a roller coaster ride with highs and lows which will have you coming back for more.
