Full Review
I had been using an older version of BlackBerry for quite some time and felt it was time to change to another model as the older one looked more like a black brick than a phone cum PDA. I settled for the Pearl 8120 mostly because of the keypad and the overall size of the phone which was no way small, but sleeker than other BlackBerry models. I must say that I was hooked to the phone the minute I got it out of the box!

The reasons for that are simple enough….the phone is a powerhouse when it comes to email connectivity. I never felt that I was away from office for even 10 minutes since I could stay so well connected on email. Other than that, the Pearl 8120 offers a host of other features such as Facebook connectivity, a fairly clear sounding MP3 player and a battery life which is reasonably long. So much so, that I did not miss the fact that the 8120 does not have very fast internet connectivity even though it has the EDGE advantage.

Since I had been using an ancient model of BlackBerry which offered little more than email connectivity, it took me some time to get comfortable with all the features on the 8120. One thing which I did notice is that the 8120 did not offer very high quality images and I figured that mobile camera is not what Research In Motion is good at…yet. Other than that, I trust my BlackBerry Pearl 8120 explicitly and think that it is one of the best smart phones around as it lets you work while on the move.
