Reliability of these dishwashers is absolutely crap. We have had one for just on five years and have just scrapped it (note not just sold it but sent it down to the tip). On average we had the unit repaired annually and at approximately $150 per visit it's not cheap. In between services, reliable operation is hard to get. The problems we had follow. The drawer limit switches dropped their actuators twice - part is only $15 but the call out multiplies this enormously. When this occurs the particular drawer is unusable. The pump impellers are plastic and are unprotected from things such as lemon pips. Enter a lemon pip and that's $80 down the toilet for a pump impeller plus labour. Allow a couple of these. Numerous flood faults where drawer overfills with water. Controller panel is activated by pushing on the plastic casing which activates teh controller switches below. Reasonable concept but on our unit the tolerances on the case were such that the casing continually rested on the switches which continuously activated the setup codes which led to flooding of the drawer if not turned off and reset correctly (sets dishwasher to low pressure setting without your knowledge). Bottom line is you may as well take 2 to 3 grand and flush it down the toilet - it will be more satisfying than owning one of these dishwashers. I recommend you look at Choice magazines review of these which show reliability at the bottom of all brands with a large survey sample showing the lowest reliability of all brands.
