Strengths: A colorful phone with a large sized display

I picked up the Nokia 7373 out of curiosity more than anything else. Though Nokia claims to have created the ‘candy floss’ style of phone design in order to attract the ladies, it did nothing much for me expect make me feel slightly embarrassed as I checked out the pink and orange (due to the wallpaper on the phone) mobile phone which felt quite bulky and my first thought was, ‘oh no, it is going to weigh down my purse’.

The Nokia 7373 should just be judged by looks. It does manage to stand out in a crowd due to its ‘youthful’ looks but does not impress when it comes to features. The display of the phone is good which is only to be expected considering the large size of the phone, but the actual quality of the phone is not great as it tends to pick up a lot of background noise. The basic phone functions are lacking finesse in the 7373: the ringing tone is jarring and can easily irritate the person next to you.

I cannot think why one would buy 7373. The phone looks frivolous, is carried around by kids and cannot be taken seriously. The features of the phone are just about average and though the battery life is quite decent, that cannot be the only reason to buy the phone. The 7373 is obviously not meant for an executive and it is surprising that there are many takers for this phone as it is not very reasonably priced either. At the best, I would consider buying the 7373 (and that too, if there was no option available) for my teenage daughter.
