In the line of mid and ultra zooms, The Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS is the top performing camera. Due to the resolution of 8.2 mega pixels, it is able to capture high definition stills and video. There are not many models that offer this feature and this is the fact that made EasyShare Z812 IS a unique model. Apart from the high definition output, it also includes a 12x optically stabilized lens and face detection feature. While shooting you can also rest your fingers comfortably in the black rubber ring, entrenched around the lens.
You can even use the Z812 IS with Kodak's camera and printer docks as well as with software and online services. The camera also includes a software disk and a dock insert. It further has settings for full auto Smart Scene feature, a Favourites mode for viewing images and P, A, S and M shooting modes. It also offers Video and Scene modes, a Panorama mode and a High-ISO setting. The Z812 IS is incorporated with 16 presets and 5 color modes.
However, the Kodak EasyShare Z812 IS has certain flaws. One of them is that the camera has a 3” thickness, which is significantly thicker than any other same quality digital cameras. In fact, this camera is reasonably heavy. The processing is also quite slow and takes approximately 5 to 10 seconds to process each shot. Inaccurate white balance and color reproduction is observed on blue and yellow tones. Another major problem of the Z812 IS is that it does not include a rechargeable battery and also has no battery life indicator.
