The 22.6mm slim metal body of the Olympus FE 340 is ideal for nights out in the town. It comes with a huge range of body colors, but the silver and black styles are the most gorgeous. In fact, it represents the new generation of easy digital photography. Its 8.0 mega pixels resolutions and the 5x optical zoom lens take you 60 percent closer to the action than any other 3x zoom. The High ISO sensitivity and the faster shutter speed provide you a blur free image, even if you are a novice in world of digital photography. They help to control the noise levels and retain more or less true color of the subject.
In accordance with the price tag of the FE 340, the macro shots are indeed very good and have impressive sharpness. The menu system is very convenient and all the common functions are easy to handle as the buttons are located on the body of the camera. The face recognition package helps to track faces within the frame in order to focus and optimize the exposure for bright and sharp pictures. The FE 340 automatically detects smile on the subject’s face and takes three consecutive shots that will remind you those special moments forever.
The Fe 340 does not use any artificial software so as to boost your image quality. Instead, it combines pixels on the CCD and produces a much stronger signal and adds no extra noise. However, the only problem is that the resolution is reduced to 2-3 mega pixels. But, despite this, it continues to produce a high quality jumbo size print.
