The X-Fi Platinum does have very impressive looks and features, although the units biggest downfall is that the drivers for the card cannot be installed as it seems to find other sound devices and drivers (even programs with sound outputs) and creates an error with them. This is where the most dissapointment is found, is when you try to have the problem resolved through the Creative Technitions, as they do not seem to be able to rectify the problem fully. Top points are awarded for the card and sound quality, and a four out of five for the features as well, just be warned that the after sales service is fairly poor, and the installation is not a simple one, so I would only recomend it for the experienced user only.

i found that the x-fi extrem music card lives to its name. with good looks and easy to install
the sound is magical clear and crisp. the tec support are very helpful and guide you through the steps to install.
overall i give it rating out of ten 3 stars.
