Trust Samsung for good LCD TV solutions

Strengths: Picture display is noteworthy, size is very good and price is reasonable

Weaknesses: Gaming experience is not the best

Buying an LCD television is no easy task and requires the analytic ability of a senior consultant to be able to make the right decision. If you do not have the time to do so but would still like to make a more-or-less right decision, then you can read reviews (like this one) and make a choice. One of the better LCD televisions available comes from Samsung and the LA40R81BDX (is quite a mouthful) can definitely be rated as one of the better televisions around.

The large sized screen comes equipped with some good state-of-the-art features which make the television stand out and the LA40R81BDX manages to pass some critical tests relating to LCD displays. For example, the blacks of the screen is quite good and it offers high quality images which is not there with many lower priced LCD televisions. On the pricing front, Samsung manages to strike a good balance as well and this is one LCD which is on the affordable side of things.

However, the real test of the screen refresh rate comes in when you test the LA40R81BDX with games and that is when you realize that it does have some chinks in the armor. Though the overall gaming features are OK, the images do tend to look a bit rough on the edges and that makes it a bit difficult to enjoy a good gaming experience. Other than that, there are no other issues which I faced with the Samsung LA40R81BDX and I would recommend it highly to anyone looking for a good LCD solution.
