Coolpix P5100 looks compact but serves up good images

Offering the convenience of size without sacrificing image quality is the Unique Selling Point which makes the Nikon Coolpix P5100 stand out in a much crowed digital camera marketplace. This compact Coolpix P5100 does not look like your average steel-finish point and shoot cameras but still manages to fit into small carry cases with ease. I personally enjoy the fact that I don’t have to carry a separate camera bag to house my precious equipment.

The Coolpix P5100 is really cool when it comes to quality. It manages to give me the ease of some must-have manual controls which help in capturing the moment in its very essence. Some issues which exist with the Nikon camera are mostly cosmetic such as the screen washing out in sunlight which results in difficulty in shooting images but they do not affect the quality of the images and I am happy with that.

One of the most common issues which plague digital cameras is there so-called refresh rates. With the Nikon Coolpix P5100, I face a similar situation where I am stuck for a few crucial moments when trying to capture a fleeting scene and in most cases miss it and its gone! This is a disappointment which I have now learnt to live (and have started out-guessing moments, moments before it happens!). Even then, the Coolpix P5100 is better than a lot of other cameras and thus a worthy purchase.
