The Palm Treo 500 comes a bit before the 500v and there are marginal changes between the two. the 500 definitely has many things going for it in the looks department which means that there is no antennae to grapple with, the overall phone is quite compact and the screen size is large enough for users to notice the difference. The Palm Treo 500 also comes equipped with Windows Mobile 6 and though it is not compact as we would like it to be, it is apparent where the size is contributing.

The Palm Treo 500 is likely to change the mind of many users…it offers smooth functionality and also ensures that you get a lot done while on the move. With so many excellent PDA features on its rolls, you might have thought that the Treo 500 might not be so good on the phone front…but that is exactly the opposite! The Treo has a very good call quality which makes it one of the few PDAs to do so and I really enjoy talking on this somewhat bulky phone.

The Treo 500 however, is not meant for everyone. It is large (not just a bit, quite a bit) and requires some getting used to. New smart phones also gives the Palm a tough run for its money since they many of them offer similar functionalities and good entertainment options as well including digital cameras and MP3 players. As a an old time Palm fan, all I can say is that I am sure glad that this model made a comeback and this is one phone which is going to stick around for quite some time!
