Strengths: Amazing memory capacity, excellent battery life and very good display

Weaknesses: Propriety issues with cable, audio quality is like earlier models

Apple has hit the nail on the head by naming this 160GB phenomenon Classic. There is no mobile media player which comes even close to the capacity offered by the iPod Classic and that alone should be enough to encourage users to buy it. If the capacity of this iPod does not convince you, then the fantastic battery life will definitely do the trick. Long lasting and one which charges very fast is yet another technical wonder of the iPod Classic.

Even with the good looks, high quality battery life and an enviable storage capacity, the iPod Classic does not have any major improvements when it comes to sound quality or the navigation structure. Though the iPod Classic features very good video playback, you would need to use the cable which comes with so do remember to take it with you when going out. The iPod Classic also renders older version of iPod accessories irrelevant since they are not compatible with it.

On the pricing front, the iPod Classic 160GB is by no standard cheap. In fact, I have given up by external hard disk drive after buying the Classic since I can easily store a few GBs of data on it and that is a good way to multi task your product. In spite of all these shortcomings, the iPod Classic continues to be an incomparable product and if you are looking for the technically best mobile music player around, then the Classic is the way
