Strengths: Very high quality, well proportioned perfume with a long lasting fragrance

Weaknesses: Bottle is slightly heavy and the perfume is suitable only for evening wear

It might take a bit of strength to life the Allure bottle but it impresses you no end when you spray it on. Like all other fragrances from Chanel, Allure also manages to stand apart with its unique combination of tones but like most of Chanel perfumes, Allure is not suited for all day use and is recommended only for evening wear. I think it is nice to have a strong fragrance for the evening since it sets it apart from the rest of the day and makes the wearer feel quite 'dressed up'.

Allure is a mature fragrance and has an excellent staying power which is a common factor with Chanel perfumes. Surprisingly, Allure is not as expensive as a No. 5 and that makes it an excellent gift as well as indulgence for oneself. The perfume offers a good combination of floral tones but they are accented by tones such as bergamot and vanilla which rounds the feel of Allure quite well.

As mentioned earlier, Allure is not meant for daytime use. It is very strong (so remember to spray on just a bit) and might feel like too much for regular day use. Other than this, there is nothing to worry about with Allure and is a perfume which should be on the dresser of all discerning women who have a thing for good quality fragrances.
