Strengths: Sleek camera with good image quality

Weaknesses: Noisy images at high ISOs and focus button not very easy to use

The DSC T20 from Sony manages to impress quite easily with its soft metallic colors and styling which makes the cameras look advanced and very 'in'. The DSC however, is not meant for very high-end photography and is most suited for point-and-shoot situations and does not offer very high megapixel strength. Even then, the T20 is impressive when it comes to performance speed.

Other than that good speed, the image quality is also good (not great) and the sleek design of the camera makes it very easy to slip into a pocket. Do stay away from shooting at high ISOs since the images tend to distort with the high amount of noise which accompanies the pictures. The Sony Cybershot camera also offers additional goodies such as face detection and though it has limited use, it is a nice-to-have feature nonetheless.

Like Olympus digital camera, the Sony Cybershot is also a bit overpriced and for a few more dollars you can get a Digital SLR which is likely to produce better pictures. However, if is a compact camera which you are looking for (and don’t want to be bothered with the complications of the DSLR), then just go ahead with the T20 as it offers more or less good picture quality. The focus button is a bit dicey but you get used to it after a few trials.
