I have had this maching replaced twice. The first time a coin was in the washing and got into the mechanism and stuffed the machine. Recently it just stopped working and we had the service people in and they said something had broken in the machine and if they fixed it the machine would only last a couple more months. This machine was only 12 months old if that. We asked electrolux if we could have a credit at one of their stores as we did not want this machine again but they refused. Now we have the new machine I wonder how long it will be until this one breaks down. The timer does not work on this machine it says 2 hours but takes 2 hours and 10 minutes what a piece of crap. I will never, never, never buy electrolux again. I hope you don't make the same mistake we did by buying this machine. Service what Service we didn't get any from electrolux maybe they are so use to people complaining that they don't care anymore.

I agree. I bought this machine and the same thing happened to me. Customer service, what customer service they couldn't have cared less. They left me 4 weeks waiting on a replacement machine with a small family of 5. I only got a replacement machine because I rang every day as initially they would not cover under warranty. 12 months later and the replacement machine has stuffed up again. I wished I had never bought it in the first place. BIG LEMON. Electrolux is telling customers the coin problem has been fixed. But BE WARNED it has not.

Cant believe that Electrolux would leave coins in their machines! That is sarcasm for those of you who are a little slow. Also want to point out that Electrolux has a policy that if your machine is not fixed within 7 days they will authorize an exchange due to machine failure. However they will not exchange the machine due to personal failure to check your pockets. I own this set and was informed very well from the dealer on use and warranty procedures. Sounds like you all may want to find a new dealer who is educated in appliances. It would seem to me that you would not be happy with any front load machine..my advice is to go back to washing in the creek!

Thats a bit harsh david.Im a repairer of washing machines & ive had my share of these frontloaders with coins jambing the drum.It is a hell of a job just to remove a coin that has completely seized the drum.True people should remove objects from pockets but the design of these machines ensures total failure of the machine due to a simple coin goin through the wash. The product is just inferior as alot of them are these days. The clearance between the inner drum & the outer ensures an object no thicker than a 20c peice will jamb the drum solid & nearly burn the motor out.Go back to the designing room electrolux.

I am on my second Electrolux Time Manager Washing Machine in less then a month. My first one had a problem draining and spinning, with the code E20 showing, the Company was very kind and replaced it with a brand new washing machine. This morning the new washing machine which is just over two weeks old is doing the same thing with a very unpleasant electrical smell. I am wondering if there is a fault with these washing machines and am a bit shy of ever having another electrolux.
