If you belong to the part of the world which cannot do without Microsoft Windows, then it is likely that you are going to upgrade to XP sooner or later. The new Windows XP Professional does not come without the usual warning on the resource requirement of the software and that makes many users stay away but personally I feel that is a completely futile attempt of staying away from new technology.

Though XP comes in various versions, Professional is by far the best. Sure it comes with the inherent problems such as requiring a fair deal of hardware resources (most software upgrades assume that you are moving on to the next thing in hardware and thus the requirement) and rather than crib about it, one should just take it as a pre-requisite. However, the XP Professional is not without it's inherent problems such as software conflict with other hardware/software installed with the PC, an average firewall which cannot combat the more complicated issues of internet security and not very convenient to install.

Like most new softwares, the XP Professional is not perfect. By this I mean that you are likely to be besieged by simple issues during installation, while trying to multitask and the worst case is when you try to add on new software. So if you are seriously considering an upgrade to XP Professional (which obviously means that you are going to move on to a new PC!), then try and wait for some times so that the minor bugs can be fixed. Overall, you are going to enjoy the XP Professional and its nifty looks will make working a breeze.
