FireWire IEEE-1394 PCMCIA

The FireWire PCMCIA CardBus is a 32-bit notebook adapter with dual 400 Mbps FireWire and IEEE 1394 ports. Devices such as high speed USB external CD/RW drives which only run at write speeds of 8X and rewrite speeds of 4X will operate at internal device efficiency resulting in write speeds up to 16X and rewrite speeds of 10X. Additional advantages range from enabling FireWire capable hard disk drives to using high tech HDTV’s that are equipped with built-in fireWire/IEEE-1394 Ports.
