there are two ways to find out whether the perfume is original or duplicate, just spray it on ur palm and check is it lying there itself or flowing like water, if it sticks there then its original, and one more thing u can just shake the bottle for two seconds and find out is there any bubbles lasting for 5 seconds inside the bottle , if not its fake, sameerbangkok@yahoo.com

i would do a search on the ebayer - check others feedback and ratings.. i bought my chanel chance perfume at myshopping.com.au, and although it took a few extra days to get it, it was genuine and fab. Steer clear of cheap perfumes unless they are on a reputable shopping site like this one.

Here is a small list of things to look for if you suspect a perfume is fake:

1) The packaging - quite often you will find spelling errors. Also, the thickness of the plastic wrapping (if it is really thin, you can bet it is a fake), etc, etc,
2) Are there any floaties in the bottle?
3) The quality of the glass bottle
4) The colour of the fragrance
5) The staying power of the fragrance

These are just a few ways of checking and their are dozens more!

The problem these days is that the fakes are becoming that good that it is getting harder and harder to detect them. We are actually a merchant on myshopping.com.au in the perfume category so we know a fair amount on this issue and constantly keep an eye on it. We often check out the markets to see what the counterfeiters are up to. You can still pick the fakes, they are just becoming more clever so be careful!

I would generally stay away from perfumes on eBay. There are plenty of reputable merchants on myshopping.com.au to purchase from.
