Inoui is a Shiseido Fragrance released in 1976 - it is now classified as a 'rare' perfume and retails for $1500. There is website selling it for just under $1000 www.overstockperfume.com/inouifepspl2h.html. Research perfume dealers that specialise in hard to find and rare perfumes. Good Luck!

Inoui was my all time favourite fragrance when i was in high school & university. it was the most glorious scent, i had men AND women coming up to me asking what fragrance i was wearing! (i was only 17-18 at the time). i would have drunk the stuff if i could. when it was discontinued, i was soooooo sad. i have purchased several bottles from ebay (i paid about $125 for a half bottle) & one has gone a bit bad. anyone selling it for more than $300 is totally ripping you off cuz there still are better bargains out there. but of the few bottles i have left, the base notes are there & catching a whiff of it sends me to the strastosphere! there has never been a fragrance like it!!! at any price! i remember writing to shiseido in nyc & tokyo but no avail. i suspect one or two of the ingredients have become too expensive to get...? sigh, the recipe exists somewhere...

Hi, I have been hearing the reminisces of the glorious fragrance for many years, as this was my mother's fragrance of choice as a young single girl back in the 70's. She has told me often how sucessful she was with men when going out on the town and wearing that. She misses and I continuously long to smell this delightful perfume she remembers with such fondness. What else she has been telling me, is how it was discontinued after some time because Shiseido was using whale blubber as one of the ingedients and now that commercial whaling (thank God) has been stopped for such silly purposes they can no longer produce it. While the loss of this wonderful fragrance must have been great for Inoui addicts, because I'm sure I too would be one, it's for a much better reason it was discontinued. I did happen to notice a few rare bottles floating around out there and would love more than anything to acquire one for her as the Christmas gift of a liftetime... boy that would knock her socks off... but unemployed students cannot afford to drop two-hundred or so odd dollars with the risk of the perfume being either fake or tained, if not both.
