Will gold or silver be the color of the season?

Recently I have been told by a self-assumed "fashion consultant" friend that gold and silver will dominant the season, especially for shoes and handbags. I am not sure about this, because i never buy golden color handbags. And i have shoped at this shop www.leatherhandbags4sure.com before. It also uploaded some bags of gold and silver colors, and i have also found a shoe websites claimed that gold is their customers' most voted color for this season.
What you think, girls, is it some sort of publicity or is it real that gold or silver will be the trendy color for now? I am getting bags or shoes for my sister as her birthday gift. need your advice.

I think it depends on the person. Regardless of the trend, some people just don't fit into gold.
If you're looking for hangbags, I've seen some at this shop which are quite nice,

Hi there. I think gold and silver as bags and shoes are going outdated (as mentioned by my wife who spends hours at stores doing 'valuable research'! ) and this year is going to see more muted colors (somewhat to keep in tune with the economy). Safest bet would be to buy something in blue or even emerald green depending on the age group of your sister. You can look for primary colors when it comes to shoes. I have collected lots of answers from my friends and you guys. Gold will always be on trend for African people, but it seems too high-key for us American people.
I guess the black, brown will never be out of trend, for any where of the world.
This concept is also supported by www.leatherReplica.com, I have seem many of its fashion news, for many times, that many designer handbags still stick to black this spring and summer season.

No I dont think so not for bags, maybe purses.. If I was to guess I would say gold would be the next popular colour/trend. I however think the colour for this season is purple! And turquoise is always suitable for summer when it comes to jewellery! I am normally plain with my bags and am still using my chocolate big brown bag but my jewellery and accessories I tend to go bold with colour. I like saucyfish for jewellery & accessories and for bags I like unique styles so maybe op shops or ebay.
